Virginia (Ginny) is a dedicated professional committed to serving healthcare practitioners, organizational leaders, and elderly individuals. With extensive experience in mental health, healthcare, social services, non-profit organizations, and the judicial system, she equips her clients with the tools to manage high-stress work environments’ demands confidently.
Ginny helps her clients with various issues, such as anxiety, emotional exhaustion, poor work-life balance, burnout, vicarious trauma, imposter syndrome, micromanagement, job loss, and depression. Her main goal is to promote personal growth and transformation, helping people live meaningful and purposeful lives. She creates a safe and supportive environment that encourages hope and resilience. Using a collaborative and person-centered approach, Ginny looks at each person’s mental, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical well-being. She believes that clients understand their lives and have the power to change for the better. Through knowledge and empathy, she builds supportive relationships that aid healing and growth.
Ginny offers tailored interventions based on each client’s unique needs. She uses different therapeutic methods, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Person-Centered Approach, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She also provides faith-based therapy, for those who want to include spiritual elements in their therapy.
Ginny holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Management Information Systems. She is dedicated to lifelong learning and is currently studying Law. As a Canadian Certified Counselor with the Canadian Counseling Association, she is also pursuing registration as a Psychologist in Alberta.
